Police: Man accidentally shoots girlfriend in north Tulsa

A woman was taken to the hospital Thursday after being shot in north Tulsa.

Police say the shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. at the Seminole Hills apartments near East Virgin Street and North Utica Avenue. Officers found a woman who had been shot in the upper leg.

The woman's boyfriend told police that he accidentally shot her. The man was taken downtown for questioning, but he has not been arrested at this time.

The victim underwent surgery at the hospital and is in critical but stable condition, according to police.
