Police: Woman shoots boyfriend's ex after he steals her car, arranges to give it back
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Tulsa Police Department is at the scene of a bizarre shooting in west Tulsa.
Officers responded around 12:35 p.m. to the Lot-a-burger near Southwest Boulevard and 33rd West Avenue. Police say a man stole his ex-girlfriend's silver car, and she was told to come get it from the O' Reilly parking lot.
The woman showed up in an SUV with her friends and got out and into the silver car by herself, according to police. Investigators say that's when the male suspect's new girlfriend got out of a red car that was also in the parking lot and fired a shot into the silver car, hitting the woman in the thigh.
The woman who fired the shot and the male suspect then took off in the red car, police say. The shooting victim was loaded into an ambulance and was cooperating with police.
Tulsa police confirm they have arrested a man in connection with the shooting.
