A man is behind bars facing a driving under the influence complaint after police say he pinned a woman underneath his vehicle during a crash.

The Oklahoma City Police Department reports that at 11:30 p.m. April 22 officers were called to a crash at SW 29 and S. Western. Police found a female vehicle trapped underneath a vehicle on scene.

Police later found out that the woman had ran out of gas and was attempting to push her vehicle out of the road when a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Arturo Saavedra crashed into the car.

The woman was knocked to the ground and trapped underneath Saavedra's truck. Police noted on scene that Saavedra had an odor of alcohol on his breath. Saavedra was reportedly very irate on scene and told police he "didn't care about the girl and just cared about his truck".

The woman was later extricated from under Saavedra's truck and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Saavedra was arrested on complaints of driving under the influence.
