Police: Man found unresponsive in south Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Tulsa police responded to an unresponsive man near Riverside Drive and 91st Street just west of a homeless camp on Friday night.
The victim was in the camp when the suspect came to get some of his things. According to police, a struggle ensued as the victim thought that the suspect was trying to steal his things, and the victim fell to the ground and was unresponsive.
The suspect ran up the hill to Riverside and flagged down a passerby and asked them to call 911, police say.
EMSA and fire pronounced the victim dead when they arrived, according to police. Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
According to police, the victim had a pacemaker that could have contributed to his death, as there were no obvious signs of trauma on the victim's body.
The suspect was interviewed, police say, and is not being charged at this time.
