Police: Man hit with metal pipe during west Tulsa break-in
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police say a man is recovering after being assaulted during a west Tulsa break-in.
Officers responded around 7 a.m. to a reported armed robbery at a home near West Skelly Drive South 33rd West Avenue. Police say a man and woman were sleeping in the home when a male and female suspects broke in.
The victim told police that the male suspect hit the other man with a metal pipe in the head several times. Police didn't say if the two suspects stole anything from the home before getting away.
The injured man was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.
Police say they searched the area for the suspects but didn't find them. It's possible that the suspects and victims knew each other.
