A shooting in north Tulsa Thursday afternoon resulted in a standoff with one of the suspects in Jenks.

The shooting happened around 12:15 p.m. near North Sheridan Road and I-244.

A detective says three people showed up at the home with a baseball bat before leaving and coming back. The homeowner was then shot in the stomach, according to police.

Police say a woman was taken into custody not far from the scene, but the shooter drove off.

The victim's condition is unknown, but police say he was shot several times.

Captain Mike Williams says the resident was involved in an altercation the day before.

"I think methamphetamine drug use is on the rise and I think a lot of the shootings are a result of the increased drug use," said Williams.

Hours after the shooting, police and U.S. Marshals were engaged in a standoff with the suspected shooter at a hone near 121st and Elwood. The suspect was arrested but police haven't released his name.
