OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The Oklahoma City Thunder players marked a milestone on Thursday with their Thunder Book Bus.
Players visited Buchanan Elementary Thursday afternoon to give out its 200,000th book.
The Thunder Book Bus has given out books to Oklahoma's students since the team first came to OKC.
They say they are proud to be able to reach this point.
"It's a pretty big milestone. We've celebrated along the way with a couple others, our 100,000th book, but 200,000 feels like a pretty big number," said Christine Berney, the Vice President of Community Engagement for the OKC Thunder. It's super fun to be able to celebrate that on our 15th anniversary as a team here in Oklahoma."
Buchanan Elementary was also where the Thunder celebrated its 100,000th book given away in 2015.
