The Rogers County Sheriffs Office and the Tulsa Police Department are hunting for a suspect, in a stolen car, who almost hit two deputies during a high-speed chase.

It started late Sunday night when deputies spotted a car near the Hard Rock Casino that had outstanding traffic warrants.

Later on, they would discover that it had also been reported stolen.

However, the driver refused to stop and lead them on a 15-mile chase that went north on 193rd East Ave and east on Red Bud Drive.

Things got dangerous when two deputies set up a road block near Tiger Switch Road.

Sheriff Scott Walton said the suspect came close to hitting the deputies and missed one by about a foot, when he a good opportunity to stop and end the danger to them.

"He took the next option which was to hit the ditch and go around. You look out there and see there's a very limited amount of room and almost no escape route," Walton said.

The deputies fired numerous shots at the car and Walton said at least one may have hit its mark, because there appears to be some blood in the car.

He also said they have some good leads on the suspect and he's pleased that the deputies are okay.

"I'm most thankful that nobody was hurt. We'll catch our bad guy. We've got information and I'm confident we'll have him in jail sooner than later," Walton said.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has joined the case to assist with the investigation.

The suspect is facing a list of legal issue that includes drug paraphernalia that was found in the stolen car.
