TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- The Reverend Al Sharpton is returning to Tulsa Wednesday for a prayer rally on the first week of the Betty Shelby manslaughter trial.

Sharpton is joining attorney Ben Crump, Dr. Tiffany Crutcher, sister of Terence Crutcher, and Etan Thomas.

Shelby is on trial for first-degree manslaughter for shooting and killing Terence Crutcher in September 2016.

Sharpton visited Tulsa less than two weeks after Crutcher's death, leading a prayer march through the streets of downtown.

Jury selection began Monday in Shelby's trial, which is expected to last several weeks.
