Sheriff's Office: Man shoots family member after argument, break-in near Sperry

The Osage County Sheriff's Office says two people will face charges after an early morning break-in near Sperry.

Deputies responded to a shooting around 1:30 a.m. at a home near North 52nd West Avenue and West 113th Street North. Investigators say two men drove to the home after a family-related argument occurred over the phone.

One of the men in the vehicle, who was intoxicated, kicked in the door of the home, according to the sheriff's office. The person who lives in the home then shot the man with a shotgun.

Deputies say the intruder was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. The shooter and the man who was shot are related.

The driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Christopher Stultz, was arrested on a first-degree burglary complaint. The man who broke into the home will also face charges.

The shooter is not expected to face charges, according to the sheriff's office.
