TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Last November, Oklahomans voted to increase speeds on our highways from 75 to 80 mph, but it hasn't happened yet.
State agencies are working on speed studies to make sure it's safe.
The lawmaker behind the bill says there are a few more meetings with ODOT and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, then a commission has to sign off on it before the signs can be made.
They hope to have a system in place by the end of the year.
