The state of Oklahoma will hold a moment of silence for fallen transportation workers as National Work Zone Awareness Week comes to an end.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, more state road workers have been killed on the job than any other state agency except the military.

The Fallen Worker Moment of Silence Ceremony will include a reading of the names of 72 workers killed in the line of duty since statehood by ODOT and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority and a moment of silence led by Oklahoma's Secretary of Transportation, Tim Gatz, at 11 a.m. in Oklahoma City.
