Student arrested for bringing gun to Tulsa high school

Student arrested for bringing gun to Tulsa high school (KTUL)

Tulsa school officials say a student was arrested after bringing a gun to school at Webster High School Thursday.

Tulsa Public Schools sent this message to parents:

Webster Families,
I want to make you aware of an incident that took place this afternoon. Thanks to the diligence of our student community, we were made aware that one of our students was in possession of a handgun.
Campus police and school staff responded immediately to take the student into custody and ensure the continued safety of Webster students and staff.
We commend the students who saw something, said something and helped us to act swiftly to keep our school community safe.
I ask you to always encourage your student to report to any adult whether it be a teacher, administrator or counselor in the building if there is a safety issue, or if they just need to talk.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
Shelly Holman,
