TPD: Teen arrested after fight leads to stabbing death of another teen
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Tulsa Police Department said they have arrested a teen in connection with the deadly stabbing of another teen following a fight involving at least 10 people.
Tulsa police Sgt. Dave Walker said that 17-year-old Shandrick Richardson was arrested Friday on a first-degree murder complaint.
Police say a fight broke out involving the 10 people, around 6:30 p.m. on East 51st Street North and North Peoria Ave.
During the street fight, investigators say Richardson hit a 14-year-old with an unloaded gun. The group then ran after Richardson and chased him to a home.
Police say Richardson came out the home, armed himself with a knife and stabbed the 18-year-old victim during the fight.
The victim's friends tried to drive him to the hospital, but police say that on the way they abandoned their plan.
EMSA was called and transported the victim to St. John Hospital where he died Friday evening.
Police say all the individuals that were involved were teenagers.
The investigation is still on-going and the identification of the victim has not been released.
