TPD: 2 men impersonate police, kick in front door of midtown apartment
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa police are searching for two men who impersonated officers before breaking into an apartment at 51st and Memorial early Friday morning.
Around 2 a.m., TPD responded to an armed robbery and home invasion at the Westminster Apartments.
A man and woman told officers they were inside their apartment when they heard knocking on the front door. The suspects yelled, "Police," then kicked in the front door of the apartment.
The couple said the suspects each had a handgun and demanded jewelry and wallets from them.
The suspects are described as two black men between 18 and 24 years old. One suspect was about 6 feet 4 inches tall with a slim build and the other was shorter with a thin build. Both men wore dark clothing and dark colored bandannas covering the lower half of their faces.
No one was injured.
