TPD arrests alleged drunk driver driving wrong direction on Broken Arrow Expressway
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa police responded the a possible drunk driver Wednesday evening near 21st and Sheridan.
When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver entered the Broken Arrow Expressway going the wrong direction. Police didn't follow him onto the highway.
Later that night, TPD found the suspect's vehicle abandoned near 30th and Sheridan.
Police received a call around 12:30 a.m. from someone who lives in the area, saying a strange man was sitting on their porch and refusing to leave.
Officers responded and found the man was the suspect they were searching for, so they took him into custody. Police said he appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
TPD identified the driver as 34-year-old David Sack.
Sack was booked into the Tulsa County Jail and is facing a charge of eluding (endangering others).
