Security guard shoots man after assault at Tulsa QuikTrip
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police say a man is in the hospital after a shooting at a Tulsa QuikTrip.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. at the convenience store near Admiral and Memorial. Police say the man assaulted the security guard inside the QuikTrip, and the fight eventually moved outside. The security guard eventually pulled out a gun and shot the man in the torso, according to police.
Officers say the man ran about a block away before collapsing in the street. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
The security guard was not hurt during the incident.
Investigators are still working to determine exactly what happened. Police say they don't believe the man who was shot had a gun on him.
