Tulsa Christmas Parade postponed due to winter storm headed for Green Country

Tulsa Christmas Parade postponed due to winter storm headed for Green Country (KTUL)

The Tulsa Christmas Parade organizers, American Waste Control, has decided to postpone Saturday's parade to Dec. 15 due to winter storms coming to town.

“We are postponing the Tulsa Christmas Parade until December 15th, 2018 at 1 p.m.” said Paul Ross, Vice President of American Waste Control. “We want city services to focus on the safety and well-being of all the citizens during this forecasted snow.”

Since the first parade in 1926, the Tulsa Christmas Parade has only been canceled one time and it was during World War II.

The committee said the parade will be at the same time and same place, just one week later than planned.

“We look forward to having the Tulsa Christmas Parade on Saturday December 15th at 1 p.m. and we hope you join us as we bring Christmas to Tulsa!”
