TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa City-County Library is hosting a Grow Academy that offers expert input for future and current small business owners.
The Grow Academy is free to TCCL cardholders and is a ten-month program meant to connect small business owners with community resources to build their businesses.
The Grow Academy will take place from October 2023 to August 2024 and will allow 50 people to learn how to start or develop a small business.
Classes will be monthly on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon at Central Library.
Each class is set to feature advice from industry experts and information on how to use the resources at their disposal to benefit their small business.
Participants will have a workbook that follows along each class, access to cohort-only breakout sessions, and a curated booklist with supplemental learning resources made available in TCCL's catalog.
When someone completes the class, they will receive a certificate of completion.
The meeting dates for the rest of 2023 are Oct. 28 and Nov. 18. They will not meet in December.
Those interested can apply to Grow Academy online or get a printed copy of the application from the Research Center at the Central Library.
Applications are due by Oct. 21.
While the class will be 50 students, walk-ins will be welcome at each month's class, provided they register beforehand.
You can register as a walk-in for Grow Academy online or by calling 918-549-7323.
