Tulsa man arrested after alleged rape victim found bound on side of road
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged kidnapping and rape last month.
On June 19, officers found a woman near 60th and 129th East Avenue who had bandannas tied over her face and her wrists bound behind her back. The victim was barefoot and wearing only a size 6XL T-shirt that didn't belong to her, according to police.
The woman told officers that she had been drinking a large amount of whiskey when she was kidnapped in the parking lot of the Arby's near Admiral and Sheridan. Police say she believed an obese man had put a hood over her head and took her to an unknown location.
The next thing the victim remembered was waking up naked with her hands bound behind her back with rope, according to police. Jail documents say she also had a bandanna tied around her mouth to prevent her from talking or screaming.
The suspect reportedly placed her in a shower and used a shower head to rinse her off, police say. The victim then claims he put her in a vehicle and dropped her off on the side of the road where police found her.
The victim had abrasions and swelling on her mouth, along with contusions and abrasions on her body, jail documents show. Investigators tested the various items found on the victim and used the DNA to identify the suspect, 38-year-old Jesse Redfearn, a convicted felon.
Redfearn was arrested on first-degree rape and kidnapping complaints.
