Tulsa officers provide escort for fallen police sergeant

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – Police officers on Wednesday escorted their fallen comrade from St. Francis to the medical examiner's office.

Tulsa Police Sgt. Craig Johnson, a 15-year veteran of the department, died Tuesday after he was shot in the line of duty.

A fellow officer, Aurash Zarkeshan, was also shot and is fighting for his life.

Both officers were shot multiple times after a traffic stop early Monday morning at 21st near Interstate 44, police said.

The suspect and his alleged accomplice have been arrested.
