TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — The Tulsa Police Department arrested a man for stealing from his job at an Amazon warehouse after receiving a tip from other employees.
Police were called out to the Amazon distribution facility near 46th Street North and U.S. 169 for a report of embezzlement.
Management gave officers photo and video evidence of the suspect, identified as Ryan Riehl, stealing Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones from shipment pods over the past month.
Riehl allegedly stole between $15,000 and $20,000 in phones.
Police say Riehl admitted to stealing the phones and reselling them to local cell phone stores because he was "just so damn broke."
Riehl was booked into the Tulsa County jail.
