Tulsa police cracking down on red and yellow light violators this month
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Tulsa Police Department will spend November cracking down on drivers who run red and yellow lights.
Officers from the Riverside and Gilcrease divisions say traffic officers will focus on red and yellow light violations in major commercial and retail corridors within their respective areas of operation.
Officers say they will be randomly monitoring all major intersections and they will not be issuing any warnings.
If you are observed running a red or yellow light, you will receive a citation.
A citation issued for a red light violation carries a fine of $250, while a citation issued for a yellow light violation carries a fine of $200.
