Tulsans walked and sang in peace through downtown Sunday.

The crowd made the six-block journey from 7th and Cincinnati to Boston Avenue Methodist Church.

Organizers say the time it takes to walk gives everyone time to reflect on the principles that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lived by and died for.

After all their mission is to ensure his legacy survives.

The walk ended at Boston Avenue Methodist Church which once again hosted the citywide interfaith service honoring Dr. King.

Along with several guest speakers, there was plenty of music and the winner of this year's oratorical contest recited Dr. King's iconic "I Have A Dream" speech.
