TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents is meeting Thursday morning, and one of the items on the agenda includes a hefty payment to Bob Stoops.
The former Sooners head football coach, who stepped down in 2017, has taken over as interim head coach in the wake of Lincoln Riley's sudden departure.
On page 140 of the more than 200-page agenda, it says the Board will vote to change his title to add the title of interim head football coach, effective Nov. 29.
The entry also says the Board will vote on giving Stoops a one-time compensation of $325,000 as a post-season participation bonus, in addition to his current annual salary.
