TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – The jury has been picked for the David Ware trial.
Ware is charged for the deadly shooting of Tulsa police Sgt. Craig Johnson and the shooting of Officer Aurash Zarkeshan during a late-night traffic stop on June 29, 2020.
Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler is seeking the death penalty for Ware.
The jury of nine men, three women and two alternates was whittled down from over 100 prospective jurors who were questioned by attorneys.
The seated jury will be sworn in Monday, and the trial will proceed. Ware’s attorney says he expects his client to testify.
