SAN FRANCISCO (WSYX/WTTE) — A California radio station returned "Baby It's Cold Outside" to its airwaves after it was pulled from its airwaves.
KOIT in San Francisco pulled the song shortly after Cleveland's WDOK 102.1 did the same due to complaints.
The California radio station said more than 70 percent of its listeners that responded to the decision were upset.
“KOIT’s listeners have spoken, and the overwhelming message is they do want to hear Baby, It’s Cold Outside on our station, as they have throughout the years,” said Program Director Brian Figula. “At KOIT, we always listen carefully when our listeners take time to comment. In this case, it was very obvious what they wanted us to do.”
As of Tuesday, the song was still absent from the Cleveland station's playlist. Here is Star 102's rational for "abruptly" pulling the song from air.
