HSFB Playoffs: #2 Owasso too much for #3 Jenks

Owasso QB Will Kuehne dives for a touchdown against Jenks (KTUL)

In a match-up of heavyweights in the annals of Oklahoma High School Football coaches, Bill Blankenship's Owasso Rams were too much for Allan Trimble's Jenks Trojans on Saturday night.

With the 21-0 win, the Rams advance to face #1 Union in a rematch of a thrilling regular-season overtime game won by the Redskins.

Against the Trojans, Owasso was lead by quarterback Will Kuehne, who threw for 234 yards and two touchdowns. The junior also ran for another score, accounting for all three Rams touchdowns.

Now that his Jenks team is out of the playoffs, attention will shift to Coach Trimble's tough decision. The long-time Trojan is battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (commonly referred to as ALS), and it's unknown whether this game was his last on the sideline for Jenks.
