Jenks head football coach Allan Trimble set to announce his retirement

JENKS, Okla. (KTUL) -- Allan Trimble, the beloved head football coach at Jenks High School, plans to formally announce his retirement Thursday.

Trimble, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2016, briefly considered retiring shortly after his diagnosis but quickly changed his mind. The school later decided to rename their football stadium in his honor.

Trimble's tenure with the Trojans has spanned more than two decades and resulted in more than a dozen state championships.

Details of his retirement announcement have not been released.
