Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy is here for the people who believe in his program.

A radio host at WWLS-FM The Sports Animal in Oklahoma City bet on Gundy's team to finish with at least eight wins in 2018.

One game remains on the Cowboys' 2018 slate and eight wins is no longer in play, so Sports Animal personality Ron Benton, also known as "Spinozi," had to pay up on a $250 bet.

That is until Gundy stepped in.

The Oklahoma State head coach sent a check to reimburse Spinozi for believing in his program to win eight games this season.

“I have many H.S. buddies who consume way too much alcohol, which leads to listening to talk radio," Gundy wrote in the letter. "The rumor is you bet on our team and lost your money. We came up short so I thought the manly (51) thing to do is reimburse a guy for believing in our TEAM. Thanks for your loyal support!”

Gundy's Cowboys finished the regular season at 6-6 and are headed to the Liberty Bowl to face Missouri.
