Kevin Durant has spoken out to congratulate Russell Westbrook on winning the 2016-2017 NBA MVP award.

Durant took to his YouTube page Tuesday to congratulate all of those honored at the first ever NBA Awards show. On Westbrook's historic season Durant said "That boy went out there and was a created player on 2k all year, F**** balled out. Gotta respect it!"

The former Thunder star and NBA Finals MVP ended his statement saying "What a year, don't disrespect these players or this beautiful game by saying this year was a down year for the NBA. The whole league showed out and pushed the league to a better place!!"

Westbrook also got shout outs from Michael Jordan and Taylor Swift.
