Golden Eagles Baseball takes series from South Dakota State

ORU baseball ended South Dakota State's previously unblemished conference record.

The Oral Roberts baseball team closed out two wins over South Dakota State Saturday at J.L. Johnson Stadium, including a 13-inning marathon that carried over after it was suspended Friday night, 7-6, before an 11-5 victory in the regularly scheduled contest.

The Golden Eagles remain unbeaten in Summit League play taking the opening two games of a weekend series against the Jackrabbits, who came to Tulsa unbeaten in conference action.

Sam Grellner finished off the suspended game in the bottom of the 13th inning on a walk-off single into left field and ORU scored in five of eight innings, including a four-run second frame, to get the win in game two.
