ESPN reports Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer will step down.

Meyer is expected to coach his final game in the Rose Bowl and then offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over as head coach.

The Buckeyes are coming off of back-to-back Big 10 titles.

Yahoo Sports reports that Meyer views the transition to a new coach similar to Oklahoma in 2017 when Bob Stoops handed over the Sooner program to Lincoln Riley.

Meyer's final game with the Buckeyes will be against Washington on January 1st.

Ohio State officials are expected to make the announcement later today.
