Oklahoma outlasted Oklahoma State in Bedlam football Saturday night 48-47.

As the final score indicates it was an offensive showcase for both teams. Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray passed for 349 yards and ran for another 66. Sooner running back Kennedy Brook rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns while his running mate Trey Sermon picked up 120 yards on the ground and two more scores.

OSU was led by quarterback Taylor Cornelius, who passed for 501 yards and three td's. Most of those yards to receiver Tylan Wallace, who caught ten passes from Cornelius for 220 yards and two touchdowns.

That would include a 24 yard strike for six that got the Cowboys within one, 48-47. But after watching his kicker miss an earlier extra point and a field goal OSU head coach Mike Gundy decided to go for a two point conversion that would have given them the lead with 1:03 remaining. However Cornelius throw to Wallace was off target and Oklahoma held on to win by a point.

The Sooners improve to 9-1 on the season, 6-1 in the Big 12, to keep their hopes alive of making the College Football Playoff. The Cowboys fall to 5-5 overall, 2-5 in the Big 12.
