The Sooners have taken home another accolade as they prepare for their match-up in the College Football Playoff.

OU's Mark Andrews has been named the recipient of the John Mackey Award, given to the nation's top tight end.

Andrews was a unanimous 2017 All Big-12 selection and currently leads the nation's tight ends with 906 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He is the Sooners all-time leader for receiving yards by a tight end with 1,713.

Andrews will receive the award Dec. 7 on ESPNU during "The Red Carpet Special at the Home Depot College Football Awards".

The Sooners will face off against Georgia Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl.
