Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield has missed three College Football Playoff events as he battles an illness ahead of the Rose Bowl.

Yahoo Sports reports that Mayfield was absent from Friday's media session. An OU spokesman told Yahoo that Mayfield "is not feeling well" but is practicing.

Mayfield also missed the Sooners' trip to Disney Land. The illness may not be slowing Mayfield down much as OU tight end Mark Andrews told Yahoo he would be "good to go". Andrews also stated that the Sooners last two practices have been some of their "sharpest of the season."

The Sooners square off against Georgia at 4 p.m. Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl.
