Both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will see their softball teams represented at this year's NCAA Tournament.

The back-to-back defending national champion Oklahoma softball team earned the No. 4 overall seed in the 2018 NCAA Division I Softball Championship. The Sooners (50-3) will host an NCAA Regional in Norman on Friday.

OU won its seventh straight Big 12 Championship and will now be a national seed for the 12th straight year.

The Sooners will host the Patriot League's Boston University (39-18) on May 18 at 6 p.m. The winner will then take on the winner of Missouri (28-27) and Tulsa (33-23) on Saturday while the losers face off in an elimination game.

Oklahoma State will also be fighting for a chance for a title this weekend, heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas for regional action.

It's the Cowgirls' 21st all-time postseason appearance and third straight in the NCAA Tournament.

OSU will take on Wichita State on Friday. Arkansas and Depaul are the other two teams in the regional.
