Sooners drop nine spots, OSU up one in latest AP poll

After the loss to unranked Iowa State, the Sooners drop nine spots in the latest AP poll while Oklahoma State moves up during its open week.

After suffering what is being considered as one of the worst home losses in the history of the University of Oklahoma football program, the Sooners drop from No. 3 to 12th in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll. Odds makers had OU as a 30.5-point favorite over visiting Iowa State Saturday at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

The Cyclones walked out of Norman with a 38-31 win; the program's first road win over an AP top 5 ranked team. It was ISU's first win against Oklahoma since 1990 and only its second since 1961.

As for Oklahoma State, the Cowboys move up from 15th to 14th. This comes after unranked Michigan State beat No. 7 Michigan in Ann Arbor; dropping the Wolverines to 17th this week.
