It's been my privilege to report about the events in Tulsa area for the last 30 years.
After anchoring for a lot of years, I have recently been able to return to the field and do more of the reporting that started my career. I've always enjoyed the variety of daily reporting and the amazing people we get to meet along the way.
I started in talk news radio in Cleveland, Ohio with stops along the way in Columbus, Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth.
Along the way I've also been fortunate to be honored with three national awards -- the Columbia DuPont Award, a national Sigma Delta Chi Award and a Livingston Award. I also share several Emmys for Best Newscast.
Among the assignments that touched me the most was our coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing and the trials that followed. I was inspired by what I learned about the people of Oklahoma and how they step up during a crisis.
I've also had some amazing experiences doing things like flying with the Air Force Thunderbirds and running the Dublin Marathon to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. (Fortunately, I survived both.)
When not involved with TV I enjoy the many outdoor opportunities the Tulsa area has to offer. I enjoy cycling, fishing, camping and outdoor cooking.
I'm also very proud of my daughter, Jessica, who is a speech pathologist in the Chicago area.
