Hey y’all! Thanks for stopping in to see what I’m all about.
First let me say how thrilled I am to be joining the First Warning storm team. I’m excited to be in Tulsa where I’ll be able to get back to my severe weather roots and, when I’m not tracking severe storms, explore Green Country.
My love for storms came at a young age. I can remember my dad coming to wake me up in the middle of the night to watch storms roll in.
I’m a proud Hoosier! An Indiana girl! And a graduate of Indiana University where I received honors in the atmospheric science program. I have almost a decade of weather experience and have seen it all in my time bouncing from place to place. I began my career in South Carolina tracking heat and hurricanes. From there it was back to the Midwest where I spent four years in eastern Illinois. Most recently I spent time in the upper Midwest, or the "frozen tundra," where winter won out most of the time. It’ll be nice to see/feel more summer than winter I must say!
In my free time, I admittedly love a good Netflix binge session. But when I’m not being lazy I love being on the water! Boating, kayaking or just floating down a river. In the winter time I try to visit to mountains as much as possible as I’m an avid snowboarder. I try to spend as much time as I can with my family, which can be challenging when it’s as large as mine.
