Author, writer Jay Cronley dies
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Former Tulsa World writer Jay Cronley has died, according to one of his former colleagues.
Dave Sittler, a former sports columnist at the Tulsa World and a friend of Cronley's, tweeted out the news Monday morning. Cronley was best known for his opinion pieces in the World, but he was also successful with his published writings, including Quick Change (which became a major motion picture starring Bill Murray), Funny Farm, and Screwballs.
Cronley loved to give local meteorologists a hard time, but he also had a deep passion for weather.
We are gathering more details and will have them as they become available.
