March weather outlook: An early spring with the potential for some cold snaps
The winter season is almost over, but I have a feeling we aren't out of the woods yet.
While the March outlook calls for slightly above normal temperatures possible, there is still the potential for a few strong cold snaps, which would kill any plants that have already started to blossom.
There is still the chance for snow in March, which would be around the 15th of the month. Severe weather chances could rise by the end of the month, which would be very similar to the past couple of years.
However, overall for the month we will probably average slightly below normal for precipitation. Sadly, that means the drought conditions will continue across the area.
This also means that the fire threat will continue through the month of March.
