More freezing rain on the way: Ice Storm Warning for the Tulsa metro

An Ice Storm Warning is now in effect for Tulsa County until 2 p.m.

Heavy waves of freezing rain continue to move along and north of I-44. Ice accumulations could reach up to a quarter of an inch causing slick spots on the roads, especially elevated surfaces.

Several accidents have been reported across the metro as of the 7 a.m. hour.

Temperatures should climb above freezing in Tulsa by the lunchtime with temperatures remaining below freezing the further you head to the north toward the Kansas/Oklahoma border.
